We're OFFICIAL!!!!!! the race is ON!

...got the good word from the city of NV today and we are all set to go with FINAL approval. The race is on, Sunday November 29th! Walked the potential course today with Cycling BC's cross official and ironed out a few potential ideas to spice things up a little... The venue has some interesting terrian and I hope to be able to maximize it to make a fun, fast and challenging course, worthy of a Provincial Championship. I am working on the full schedule for start times and categories and will post it in the next day or so. Cycling BC will post on-line registration as well in the next day or so... Race fee's will be same as every other cross race this season, $25 for pre-reg and $30 day of. Provincial Champion jerseys will be awarded as well as medals for the top 3 in each category. Great prizing as awell cash for the Open Men's & Women's categories... More to come...

  1. Hey Kevin - thanks for getting this together!

Curious if you might organize a non-championship race as well? I'm keen to come over for the weekend, but i'd really rather not be in the championship race, getting in people's ways, etc.. But of course, would love to race the course... Any possibilities? Of course i could just ride elite, which i'd do otherwise, but throwing this idea out there since it's not too difficult to add in a race once you've got it going...and might attract an even bigger crowd. ;)

  2. Hello Dave, sorry I missed your comments a week ago, still new to this whole blogging thing... I have to follow Cycling BC rules for the BC Championships and as such there is just the one class for Senior Men 19-29, all categories. HOWEVER, if you want to do the race and are not concerned with the "championships" you can race the OPEN Citizen Men's race @ 10am. ...jsut don't go out and slay all those weekend warriors or I will make you do the A race as punishment!
